Call for Volunteers

This is your opportunity to get involved in the first ever Mohawk Valley Mini Maker Faire scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2016, at SUNY Poly! The primary goal of the Mini Maker Faire is to highlight and cultivate the technical, creative, inventive, and entrepreneurial possibilities unleashed by emerging and accessible technologies – aligning ideally with the educational and economic development mission of SUNY Poly and highlighting the leading role that SUNY Poly plays in fostering the region’s innovation and entrepreneurial economy.

Day of the Faire

We need volunteers to assist Maker exhibitors, Mini Maker Faire attendees, and staff members while the event is up and running. Having a positive, hardworking attitude along with excellent skills in customer service, you will be part of an amazing team and an incredible event!

We need volunteers who can work either a 3 or 5 hour shift and in the following areas:

  • Setup/Takedown team
  • Ticketing
  • Maker liaisons
  • Hands-on events
  • Volunteer/Maker check-in
  • Information booth

Do you want to be a part of an event that showcases the imagination and resourcefulness of people from around the region, inspire others to explore their creative capacities, connect makers across the community and highlight the opportunities that the maker movement can help create in order to build a vibrant, creative, and sustainable Mohawk Valley?
